Why spend $100.00’s to replace the compressor when for less than $50.00 you can repair the Clutch only? 
And if you have some mechanical skills you can do it by yourself.  
By repairing the clutch, you are saving on refrigerant, labor, compressor and parts like filter drier and expansion valve.
